NEW LOCATION: ÁRÆÐI COLISEUM

What: the grand opening of the Áræði Coliseum

Where: Tyr's district

Tyr volunteered himself to the task of creating a training facility for the Wanderers to explore the powers bestowed upon them by the gods. For the God of Courage and Diplomacy, however, there is far more to such a concept than the simple notion of magic. Today, he unveils the newest attraction in his district: the Áræði Coliseum, where mortals can come to test their mettle in a wide variety of fields.
In Leikrúnhöll, you can find a large facility of smooth, clean surfaces and user-friendly controls to be able to build the right environment to practice your magic safely in. Indestructible targets, magic- or sound-proof rooms, or any other equipment you might need is available by request.
In the Karasuno Courts, you'll find every field or court necessary to play many of Earth's most popular sports, including but by no means limited to football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, swimming, tennis, and whatever else you can think of! The necessary equipment is available and a healthy number of Asgardian natives are plenty interested in learning the rules.
But because that's not enough, not by a long shot, the rest of the Áræði Coliseum is filled with a vast assortment of bizarre challenges and gravity defying sports. There's even these strange, empty holes that many people seem to cautiously avoid for fear of whatever they may do. Whatever fun, weird, and potentially dangerous challenge you can think of can likely be found in the coliseum in some fashion. American Ninja Warrior courses? You betcha. Go wild with this one.
Tyr built this place to be fun yet challenging, strenuous but exciting, and most importantly: the more people there together, the better it is. Invite your friends to a race through an inflatable obstacle course or team up to show them who's really the best at badminton. Enjoy yourselves!

[ … the blonde starts to say, only to stop herself in light of her aforementioned realization. She pauses, expression stilling and then relaxing again as she mentally adjusts her approach. ]
… Maybe, [ she allows carefully, though it's hesitant enough to display that she suspects it's a very weak maybe. Pulling one of her hands from where it was resting against her leg, Naminé bends to extend it to Chizuru, palm up in an offer to help her stand. ]
Still, it won't get better any faster if you stay lying down.

I didn't know these sports were so dangerous. [ She explains, still looking embarrassed but at least a bit more talkative. ] They didn't have anything like this where I'm from.

I didn't, either. Most of the people I know make this sort of thing look so easy...!
[ Releasing her grip on Chizuru's hand once the other is upright, Naminé confesses with a faint touch of her own embarrassment, chin tucking slightly, ]
I've fallen over more times than I can count today. Those strange buildings are very hard to walk through.
[ Her knees are a little red from it, her hands not much better - but she suspects it didn't hurt quite as much as taking a ball to the face. ]

[ She idly rubs her cheek, trying to keep it from feeling too sore. ]

That might be a good idea. It wouldn't hurt to take a break.
[ It could, in fact, hurt considerably less than not taking a break. Fortunately for them there's got to be some sort of seating arrangement around here, right? How else would anyone watch a game, should there be one? ]

She glances around them, also apparently trying to find some seating arrangement.. And it's then that she does spot a bunch of seats set up like a kind of spectator area. She points over to them. ]

Yes - that looks like a good spot.
[ Eyes having followed Chizuru's pointing, Naminé doesn't hesitate as long as she might otherwise have before stepping over to the seats and sitting down, hands folding on her lap-- pausing on her lap, then getting lifted up because they're still sore from her falls, and then settling palms up instead. Belatedly, about their chosen seats-- ]

[ Sure. Chizuru is pretty mindful of other people, but even she doubts that someone will mind them taking up the seats for a moment here. And if someone does pass by who looks like they need the seats more, they can just give them up. So sitting here should be fine, she thinks. ]
Everyone seems like they're busy anyway with all these new things here. People seem to enjoy them a lot. [ Even if Chizuru - for obvious red-faced reasons - is finding slightly less fun in them right now. ]

Oh, I'm sure they do...! So many of the children from my worlds have all kinds of games like these.
[ Not identical, perhaps, but in the same vein. Things with balls and running around and general physical activity. The funniest thing is that she says it as though the word 'child' doesn't still technically apply to her, teenager or not. ]
I think I'd be excited too if I'd grown up playing any of them myself.
[ Because she'd know how, for one thing. Hands still curled upward on her lap, she takes the opportunity to study Chizuru's face, hoping to determine whether or not the redness is fading any with time. ]

I never played anything like this when I was younger either, so I suppose have something in common.

[ And despite how, given her own experiences, that might imply a certain loneliness, Naminé chooses not to assume about Chizuru's past. Instead the blonde smiles, just a little, only for it to grow wry at the other girl's last comment. ]
Well - nobody could expect you to know how to do something like that right away. [ Not anybody with any sense of realistic expectation, anyhow. ] But--
[ Watching Chizuru rub at her cheek, Naminé hesitates a moment, briefly second-guessing offering further assistance for fear it might be resisted. In the end, though, ]
If you have someone to look after you if something goes wrong, wouldn't that help? It must be a lot harder to learn on your own, especially when you could get hurt.

[ Thankfully there doesn't seem to be a lot of pushback this time. Even though Chizuru usually tries to do things all by herself since she doesn't want to bother other people, there's an obvious implication in the other girl's words. And if Naminé is trying to offer her help here, then Chizuru would feel rude just totally shutting it down right away.

[ Gentle though the words are, there is a certain emphasis; Naminé most definitely means to offer her assistance. She pairs it with a fragment of a smile, somewhere between wry and encouraging. ]
Actually, I've been a little lonely looking around this place today. There's only so much that I can do by myself.
[ Games-wise, that is - although there are plenty of other, slightly less recreational forms of exercise available. Not much of it is all that familiar to her, as she's already admitted, and thus more intimidating when she's by her lonesome. With a small shake of her head, ]

But regardless of whether she's saying it for the sake of seeming more available to her, Chizuru just decides to accept it anyway. The gesture is sweet even if it's true. ]

[ And it does indeed seem like the redness in Chizuru's face is fading a little bit, although it's still not fully gone. ]

At this very moment, though, the girl waits patiently under Chizuru's scrutiny, awaiting her verdict with a ghost of smile - probably for the purposes of being encouraging. Namin&eacuts; appears pleased by the older girl's eventual agreement, and perks accordingly in her own subtle sort of way. ]
It'd be hard to choose...! [ The admission is a trifle bashful, less a copout and more a matter of being overwhelmed by the sheer number of options. ] So many of them look fun. But actually--
[ The momentary gladness wavers as she reminds herself of the other matter to which she feels the need to attend; the proof of that is still there on Chizuru's face, after all. ]
I was hoping you wouldn't mind if I took a moment to call my friend first. [ And by 'friend' she really means 'healing spirit'. Her eyes fall briefly to her own palms, which remain worse for wear themselves. ] It might be able to help both of us feel better. I didn't want to summon it if it was just for myself, but...
[ Since there are two of them that need assistance, it feels less like a waste now. ]

[ Her gaze turns curious as she looks over at Naminé. At first she assumed the other girl was going to call an actually human friend - maybe to come play with them, since a lot of these things here seem to be more suited to be played in groups? But then the girl continues speaking, and then she talks about feeling better and uses the word 'summon'..
That's not just any normal friend she's talking about, huh.
It's obvious from the look on Chizuru's face that she doesn't think of it as anything bad though - she just seems more surprised than anything else. ]
What kind of friend exactly can you summon..? [ She quickly adds, just to make sure to reassure Naminé-- ] I don't mind, I just didn't know you could do that.

[ Naminé confirms it with a hint of a nod, studying Chizuru expectantly for a moment. The other girl's question reminds Naminé that she really ought to have explained that beforehand, oughtn't she - though she manages to look only a little bit bashful as she says, ]
Oh, that's right. It's my mistake - I should have told you that first. The power I have from Sigyn is to summon a spirit that can help heal wounds.
[ Which works out well for both girls at the moment, even if the injuries aren't serious. ]

Of course. [ She's not going to turn down the girl if she wants to help so badly - Chizuru knows that feeling very well, after all. And it's not like she's suspicious of the power in the slightest. Didn't she see a kind of summoned spirit before, the one Peter had? Although she doubts a healing spirit would look like a dog.

So she just sits there, patiently waiting for Naminé to show her. ]
