NEW LOCATION: ÁRÆÐI COLISEUM
Who: ANYONE
What: the grand opening of the Áræði Coliseum
When: early November (pssh dates)
Where: Tyr's district
Rating: PG-13; please take anything higher than this to a private log!

Tyr volunteered himself to the task of creating a training facility for the Wanderers to explore the powers bestowed upon them by the gods. For the God of Courage and Diplomacy, however, there is far more to such a concept than the simple notion of magic. Today, he unveils the newest attraction in his district: the Áræði Coliseum, where mortals can come to test their mettle in a wide variety of fields.
In Leikrúnhöll, you can find a large facility of smooth, clean surfaces and user-friendly controls to be able to build the right environment to practice your magic safely in. Indestructible targets, magic- or sound-proof rooms, or any other equipment you might need is available by request.
In the Karasuno Courts, you'll find every field or court necessary to play many of Earth's most popular sports, including but by no means limited to football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, swimming, tennis, and whatever else you can think of! The necessary equipment is available and a healthy number of Asgardian natives are plenty interested in learning the rules.
But because that's not enough, not by a long shot, the rest of the Áræði Coliseum is filled with a vast assortment of bizarre challenges and gravity defying sports. There's even these strange, empty holes that many people seem to cautiously avoid for fear of whatever they may do. Whatever fun, weird, and potentially dangerous challenge you can think of can likely be found in the coliseum in some fashion. American Ninja Warrior courses? You betcha. Go wild with this one.
Tyr built this place to be fun yet challenging, strenuous but exciting, and most importantly: the more people there together, the better it is. Invite your friends to a race through an inflatable obstacle course or team up to show them who's really the best at badminton. Enjoy yourselves!
[ OOC NOTE: This is the grand opening of the Áræði Coliseum, a new location in Tyr's district that will be available for use from this point forward! We have a bunch of other new locations being added all the time, so please do let us know if you have any questions or ideas!
And as a side note, we have an IC Q&A about the god powers happening here and an OOC Q&A about the god powers happening here if you need any help or have any question! ]

[She laughed pretty openly, finding her way by hand to one of the inflated posts to get up. The giggles were coming out all too easily as she was getting unsteadily to her feet. hard to do with the place shaking the way that it was.]
If by trying to have fun? I'm definitely doing that. Don't even have to try too hard, now do I?
no subject
To get through, of course...!
[ Said belatedly, as she watched the other girl giggle without managing to prevent it from becoming contagious. Unable to hide her own behind a hand when both of hers were busy supporting her, ]
You way might be better. Having fun is a lot easier then doing this properly.
[ Provided there was a right way. Leaving Terezi to use the nearest post encouraged Naminé to attempt standing on her own, which - was less successful than she would have liked. Landing back on her rump after the first try, ]
-- Oh, bother.
[ Well, that came from somewhere deep in her secondhand memories. ]

We'll be getting through it eventually, you know. And it's not like this is really going to help you heal or me track anyone down. Might as well have a blast eh?
[She cackled when she heard the Poo-ism from her friend. That was great. Twisting around, she reached her hand down to offer it for Naminé and help her up. Her mirth was never-ending.]
Love that. Where'd you hear it?
no subject
Still - you're probably right.
[ Her momentary surprise at the offered hand was quickly overcome with gratitude as she reached to take it, making to stand with Terezi's assistance. As she did, Naminé let out a bashful laugh, only then realizing what phrase she'd let slip. ]
It's a long story. There are some... interesting characters from a world inside of a book, back where I come from.

[She was snickering while she bounced up and down on the floor, keeping a hold of Naminé's hand to try and help keep her steady as she tested the ground's give.]
Ya know, bet if ya timed the jumps you'll be better at keeping steady. Just gotta be sure when you should land, right?
...what sorta characters?

[ It seemed logical enough, anyway, and Naminé stood patiently as steadily as she could while Terezi messed around with the strange floor. It seemed a little wiser not to leave both of them off-balance. Turning her head to study the other girl, ]
Really? [ Hm. ] I'll have to try it.
[ Although the question provided her with enough distraction to 'oh' quietly, still retaining her footing for the moment. How to describe the Hundred Acre Wood, then? ]
Well, there's a bear. He's a very silly bear, and he likes to eat honey. He and his friends live in a peaceful forest, but they seem to be pretty good at getting themselves into trouble anyway. There's a donkey who's very sad, and a piglet who can't speak without stuttering, and there are plenty of others who live there too.
[ Funny, how she couldn't help sounding a little bit fond as she described them. ]

[She was sort of bouncing back and forth, chuckling a little while she reminisced herself. Her head cocked back and she grinned.]
Sounds like yours are a little 'nicer' than mine are. Some of the teal bloods like 'em for lusi though.

[ The honey comment had Naminé looking momentarily baffled as she made an attempt to collate anything relating to a mind and the yellow foodstuff in question, and form some kind of mental image of how such a thing would come to be produced. Nothing she came up with sounded at all pleasant. ]
What... happens if you have psychic powers?
[ Moreover, what qualified as a psychic power? Memory witch as she was, it seemed pertinent to her interests. Watching Terezi bounce around for a moment, Naminé eventually found herself beginning to join in carefully, just a hop here or there when it seemed it wouldn't cause trouble for either of them. ]
Mm-- he is a very nice bear, [ she agreed presently, contemplative at those last comments. ] But what's a... 'lusi'?

[Mind Honey was definitely a 'thing' alright. It was one of those things that was drastically different from human physiology and foods, and the way that psychics worked was weird comparatively.]
Those bees have hives he used to make into computer banks. I never did figure out how they were so psychoactive though.
...Lusi? Oh, I think I told you about them before. They're basically our parents? We're all raised by different kinds of beasts who keep an eye on us. Mine was a dragon, though she hadn't hatched yet.
